The Masters in Medical Science is designed to enhance the academic and professional development of health care professionals by improving their level of scientific appreciation for evidence-based practice.
The programme consists of 5 core modules, 1 optional module, and a minor dissertation. All modules are delivered online via distance learning and are supported by dedicated workshops.
The Masters in Medical Science is available as a 1 year (12 months) full-time in service, or a 2 year part-time programme.
The programme is taught on a shared learning educational model providing maximum interaction between the various disciplines with specialist tuition provided in your chosen subject.
Successful candidates will hold a primary degree in Medicine. Competence in English language equivalent to IELTS 6.5 is required. Interviews may apply.

Fees are applicable to this programme, and are subject to change annually. The current fees are €4,805 programme fee for EU candidates. International fees are €13,750.
Candidates must make their application through the Postgraduate Applications Centre using the code GYM47 (1yr) or GYM68 (2yr).
Masters in Medical Science graduates have progressed their surgical career in specialist training schemes as well as pursuing Ph.D and MD studies at institutions in Ireland and abroad.
